Body Census Meditation

$1.00

Stress affects everyone differently; some folks

  • can't sleep

  • others have digestive issues,

  • discomfort in and around the head,

  • skin conditions,

  • recurring thoughts,

  • weight gain

the list goes on and on.  You might not even know that what you are experiencing is related to stress.  The stressful event may have happened many years ago, and while you may have put it out of your mind -  it is still in your body. This exercise is designed to reconnect you to your whole body again.  This strengthens your brains connections to other parts of your body that are NOT causing you difficulties.

Do it as often as you wish. As you strengthen your neural connections to your whole body, and pay less attention to  the difficult parts, it will be easier to shift your attention away from any area that is hurting and to another part of your body. You are re-wiring your brain and this actually can reduce your sensitivity to your discomforts.

It's like leaving the room where a loud radio is blasting, closing the door and walking away.  The radio may still be playing, and you may still hear it, but it's distant and not too troublesome. And you can hear laughter, and birds singing and all sorts of other lovely sounds now too

I invite you to rediscover the lost paths to your whole body.
